Before you can start to dream about where to go and what to do when you arrive in the US, it is important to know how to get there first.

What You Need

After the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the US, entering the Land of the Free is not that easy anymore. Entry is no longer free and there are documents and requirements needed. Canadian citizens and those from countries under the Visa Waiver Program do not need visas. But citizens of other countries will need non-immigrant visas along with their passports.

Where to Go

Most tourists in the US have their itineraries set long before their scheduled flights. This step is very important as you need to be sure that your US trip will be a, enjoyable and fulfilling one. Keep in mind that there are 50 states and you should be able to take your pick before you arrange for your flight.

Some of the Most Visited US Destinations

As mentioned, there are 50 states and each one has its own pride when it comes to tourist attractions. New York has the Statue of Liberty, California has Hollywood, South Dakota has Mount Rushmore, the District of Columbia has the White House, and so on and so forth.
